But it's the only option. No MT4, no MT5, no cTrader, no TradingView. If you prefer MetaTrader's ecosystem (Expert Advisors, custom indicators, established community), XTB can't accommodate you. And there's no API trading access.

For traders who are happy to commit to a single proprietary platform, xStation 5 is excellent. For those who value platform choice, this is a dealbreaker.

Final Verdict

XTB is a consistent all-rounder that doesn't have any glaring weaknesses. The xStation 5 platform is genuinely good, the education is strong, regulation is solid, and costs are reasonable. If you're a European trader comfortable with a proprietary platform, XTB makes a compelling case.

The platform lock-in is the main risk. If you later decide you want MT4 compatibility or cTrader's algo tools, you'll need to switch brokers entirely. That's a bigger commitment than trying a broker that supports multiple platforms.

For traders who value platform flexibility, Pepperstone or FP Markets offer all four major platforms with similar or tighter spreads.
